The XMD-1000 XMDirect Universal Tuner Box is the XM tuner needed to work with all XMDirect™ products. XMDirect™ Universal Tuner Box allows users to receive digital XM Satellite Radio directly through a satellite radio ready car stereo head unit. To complete the installation of an XMDirect™ system the Universal Tuner box (XMD1000) must be installed with an XMDirect™ Smart Digital Adapter (options listed at bottom of this page). Both pieces are needed, exceptional for users who have sirius ready radios, but want to have XM satellite instead of sirius... Especially great for those MLB fans.
