GM STEREO/ Radio data Retention and Relocation Harness

This Part Is to Keep Chime in Your GM when Installing Aftermarket Stereo

  • Your car is equipped with the GM Class 2 data bus.  

  • This system sends and receives data via multiple modules throughout the vehicle including the radio.  

  • This system also controls vital functions including the airbag and other functions like the door chimes.  

  • The Retention of the factory radio in the vehicle is crucial to the proper function of these system.  

  • This Harness will allow the relocation of the factory radio, retention of the door chimes and facilitate the installation of an aftermarket headunit.  

  • Follow the directions carefully.  

  • You actually are moving ( Relocating)  the original stereo to the rear deck / trunk or a storage compartment and installing the new stereo in the dash compartment. 

  • This harness will keep all the Safety features: Air Bag, warning chime, etc.


    • RELOCATION HARNESS - REQUIRES STOCK RADIO TO BE RELOCATED TO TRUNK OR UNDERCAR SEAT. THIS HANRNESS IS NOT A REMOVAL HARNESS IT REQUIRES THE STOCK RADIO TO BE WIRED ALONG WITH THE AFTERMARKET STEREO. (WE RECOMMEND USING THE REMOVAL HARNESS FOR A CLEAN AND QUICK INSTALL)
